After 12 years of waiting, I find myself playing StarCraft II. Talk about relaxing, it's like a breath of fresh air. If this game didn't break CoD sales from last year, I will be very, very surprised.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00869126906398003316noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3950614953495274886.post-1432064031459173502010-05-02T20:03:00.000-04:002010-05-02T20:03:23.321-04:00It's Finally Summer, Full Of StarCraft IIAlright so my 39th post on here. Well, it's Summer now, thank God. I need to find a job real quick. So, I finally got my StarCraft II Beta after a long enough wait after being the first 100 to answer these 5 questions right on StarCraft's official Fan Page on Facebook. It took me a good 2 months of their free beta giveaways for me to finally get one. So, I'm ranked number 26th in the Silver League right now which is pretty good - but I think it's terrible. I still have to get to Gold and then the Platinum League, then I'll be satisfied.

Obviously, since I'm writing on this, it shows how bored I am. I've been playing SC2 for three hours straight now, but I want to take a break for a bit. Three hours isn't much, but it's okay for now. Well, I'm out.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00869126906398003316noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3950614953495274886.post-28418018594496086542010-02-17T01:29:00.000-05:002010-02-17T01:29:25.355-05:00Reading Week! Gran Turismo 4-Spree

Guess who's back? Me, finally, waiting for my Gran Turismo 4 to load cause it's stuck on a loading screen. It tends to freeze a lot so I'm yelling a lot nowadays. Of course, my StarCraft freezes a bunch of times too, so it's mildly annoying. Anyways, just thought I'd do a quick post on here since it is my reading week. It's been pretty boring so far since I haven't gone anywhere but it doesn't matter to me cause I love being at home anyway. Yup, that picture above is what I'm constantly driving around in GT4 - if only this were real life. By the way, that's a Cadillac Cien '02, just in case you're wondering. And yes, I still play PS2.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention the most dramatic thing that has ever happened in my life. Blizzard announced that the StarCraft II Beta will be starting by the end of this month. That's 11 days.
I'm definitely going to do some work tonight, which should be very fun... I went to Kevin's party on Saturday and saw a lot of people I haven't seen in a while which was good. Anyways, I'm procrastinating on my work and I thought I'd just scribble this down.

On a side note, my StarCraft does not stop freezing. It's really start to make me mad.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00869126906398003316noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3950614953495274886.post-31783538911109605822010-01-21T11:46:00.000-05:002010-01-21T11:46:00.471-05:00A Final Fantasy VII Filled Christmas Break and My Second Chance

Well, so much for updating every single day of Christmas. I was so busy playing Final Fantasy VII. I finished the whole game - except killing off Ruby because I didn't want to do any cheap tactics. I'll kill him eventually. The break seemed pretty short now that I look back on it, but it was good while it lasted. I didn't go out much, but I did get to see my two best friends which was pretty awesome!

Anyways, this semester has been pretty slack so far, I went to class for the first two weeks and my whole schedule changes one day because I'm now on Probationary status at Ryerson. Basically, the first two weeks of class were a waste of time since I now have to retake my last semester courses.

I have Geography of Danger (which I love), Discrete Math (which I will hate later), and Calculus (which should be okay if I keep up with the work). It should all be review, but towards the end of the semester I know I'll be learning new things since that's when I stopped paying attention. All I'm hoping for is to clear my Probationary Status so that I can switch out to something else - and not get kicked out. I was referred to ITM, so maybe that's what I'll be taking next year. I'm not sure yet, but Computer Science / Engineering doesn't seem like it's for me.
Well, this start to 2010 has been terrible at best. I took a look at my marks last night and they were so bad. I'm on probationary status at Ryerson now and that means I have to pass with at least 2.0 GPA. My marks were scary, but me not knowing what to do in the future is scarier. Computer Science is not for me.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00869126906398003316noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3950614953495274886.post-27746953065145880642009-12-18T09:26:00.002-05:002010-05-10T12:05:34.138-04:00First Official Day Of the Christmas Break

So, good morning! It's the first official day of the Christmas break today, which is exciting. I forgot to mention that I finally hit $100 on my Google AdSense for my tech blog. It's going to be my first paycheck! Google is shipping out at the end of the month, so I should get it in the middle of January 2010! Oh yeah, I have to spend this Christmas figuring out what I want to do for the rest of my life. I don't feel that Computer Science is right for me... It's so boring, how could someone do code for the rest of their life?

So, today I'm off to my Uncle Jason's place. Going to be real fun, we're going to play a bunch of StarCraft games. I hope Nikki and her brother don't get bored though, that's my only concern.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00869126906398003316noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3950614953495274886.post-85941909305513451712009-12-17T13:20:00.000-05:002009-12-17T13:20:00.369-05:00Exams are Finally Over! Christmas Time!

Finally! Exams are over and I am relieved. This break is going to consist of some hardcore gaming because I miss it. It's going to be a ton of those annoying Facebook Applications on top of SSX Tricky, Hot Shots Golf Fore and, the one I'm looking forward to most, Final Fantasy VII for the good old Play Station. You may notice that there are no next-gen games on there, well that's because I only have a PS2 right now. I'll probably plan on getting the PS3 Slim next year because Final Fantasy XIII and Gran Turismo 5 are coming out. Damn, 2010 is going to be a great year. I can't wait!

I'll try to update this as much as I can over these Christmas holidays! =)

This is what I have learned in History of Science and Technology class so far.

"Zeno argues that to reach a point, you much first cover half the distance to a point. However, to get to that halfway point, you would first need to cover half the distance (i.e., one-quarter of the full distance), and therefore one-eighth, one-sixteenth, and so on. Since there are an infinite number of halfway points between any two end points, it would take an infinite time to cover the whole distance, making it impossible to move."

Great, I can't wait to write an essay on this.
In 12 hours, I'll be in my Physics class, learning and reviewing old stuff. Unfortunately, it won't be "review" for me. I have to go into my nerd mode again, kind of like last year. There's nothing much left to say, but there's school tomorrow and I'm definitely not excited. Ryerson here I come.
Relax. Thanks to my tech blog, I've been getting up early all the time and I'm spending about eight hours a day in front of my PC typing. I don't hate myself for starting my tech blog - because I love talking about it - but I do dislike the fact that I spent so much time typing everyday. I never really had time to myself or just to relax.

While school was going on, I looked forward to relaxation during the Summertime, but that never happened. Thankfully, I've been able to lie down today and just relax - since there's not much to talk about on my tech blog on the weekends. And, relaxing today felt really good. I have a feeling I'll be praying for the weekend every week during the school year.

I'm definitely not looking forward to school in 10 days.

On a side note, I don't regret the time I spent with my two best friends though. Everytime I'm with those two it's always amazing! :)
I find this statement surprisingly true. However, this is not coming from experience, I just feel that this world is in perfect balance.

Some actresses out there looked really ugly when they were younger, but when they blossomed they turned out smoking hot. You get made fun of when you're a kid and you'll be successful one day. It may not be true in all cases, but for the most part, I feel that it is. I guess karma plays a role in this in some way, shape, or form.

Girls may not be as athletic as guys are, but that's okay because in the end we're all equal. God made us that way. Girls have the ability to create miracles by having children - and guys can't do that. Now it may not feel like a miracle while the whole process is going on, but after a couple of minutes you'll see that all of the grunting and pain pays off.

That was something I wrote earlier this month and since I have nothing else to add at the time I guess I'd just post it. Maybe I'll add / do a continuation to this post in the future. We'll see what happens.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00869126906398003316noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3950614953495274886.post-43122516704499652392009-08-12T18:53:00.000-04:002009-08-12T18:53:37.583-04:00Hardcore Gaming Was My Past

It looks like my hardcore gaming days are over. On Saturday, I was thinking about StarCraft II and I was thinking about how much I'd get to play it. With University coming up, I'm definitely not going to be able to play during the school year; if I do, it'll be around 5 hours per week - at the most. Next Summer would be the perfect time to play, but I'm hoping that I can find a job. It's going to be the same thing for the next 3 years of University, which means absolutely no time to play. After school, I'm obviously going to start working and I'll definitely have a lot to do then. Let's just hope I'll be able to squeeze in some StarCraft II in there somewhere. I'm that excited.

I wish I was a kid again.
It's actually much more empty than I thought it would be, but that's because I still have to choose two electives. One of them will be Physics and I still don't know what the other one will be. It's kind of tough for me to choose, but that's only because none of them interest me all that much. Thankfully, I have until August 18 to decide. I'll post my schedule on here when it's all done after August 19th or something like that. I'm kind of excited for University, but not entirely. School's about a month away, where did Summer go? I should probably mention that this is probably one of the worst Summer's weather-wise in a while. It hasn't hit 30 degrees since June 28th or something; it just sucks because I like it when it's 32 degrees.
What do you think it is? 3? 7? 8? 13? 42? Nope, it's not any of those. 7 may be lucky and 42 may be a big number in science, astronomy, religion and math, but neither of those is the magic number I am going to talk about today. This is, obviously, a debatable topic - I guess - but it's just an 18 year-old bloggers opinion, so bare with me.

I believe that the magic number is also "the loneliest number in the world". Yes, I'm talking about the number one. Why? Because of many, many things. I believe that there is one God. There's always one team that wins the World Series every year and [usually] only one person wins the MVP award. One is a very magical number in this world and this number could be applied to basically every situation imaginable.

It only takes one person to change the world - one person to make a difference. If you're lonely it should only take that one special friend to get you right back on your feet. One decision in your life alters your whole future - how scary is that? It takes one mistake and your whole world could come crashing down. It only takes one day to alter how security is issued and one death to bring the world to tears. One president, one pope, one Prime Minister, and one dictator changes all of world history - for better or for worse.

I hope they both had as much fun as I did today because today was s'amazing. I got to go to the park with my two best friends and t'was fun!! :) Even though, I almost "killed" ashlee by rubbing yellow pollen on her pretty little face. And well, Nikki survived the whole thing. I don't really know what I'm talking about anymore, but I just wanted to let @kiwislice and @iamashlee know that they're amazing! =D

Hopefully, we'll be able to do it again next week, y'know Wonderland! Woo!

So, after ashlee left me and my girlfriend's brother were boxing - one glove each. It was really fun, I've always wanted someone to fight with. Having no siblings sucks... sometimes. But, I like that there's no one here to bug me all the time, so I'm okay without one, LOL.
Well two nights ago, I finished reading the book!! That's a really big accomplishment for me, since I've only read one other book before this - and it was a StarCraft book. Yes, that's right, I read a StarCraft book and I plan to read the whole series. That being said, I've never finished reading a book for English class and I still managed survived High School, trust me it's not as hard as you may think it is. All you have to do is listen in class, you basically get it summarized for you anyway.

Now that I've finished Angels & Demons I've moved on to my next book. The 'Da Vinci Code'. I don't remember the movie too much, but I'm really interested in the whole Science vs Religion aspect of it. I love the way Dan Brown just uses so much detail in his writing. I also loved the historical / important facts about stuff like the Illuminati - for example, that the American one dollar bill has Illuminati symbology imprinted on it.

Anyways, the Da Vinci Code will take me a bit longer to read since it's a thicker book and I'm also simultaneously reading 'Fables' with my girlfriend.
In a jiffy, I was successful and I did get to eat at Mandarin for free. If you want the long story, continue reading.

So, it was July 1st - Canada Day. I left the house at around 11:30 a.m. to meet my cousin who is in Grade 10 and was standing in line for 2.5 hours already. She told me that she was tired and that we should be in the first batch of people that they bring in. Well, an hour passes by and we've moved all of around 5 feet. This was probably due to the fact that all of these black people just came out of nowhere. Black teenagers just swarmed and cut in line and the police didn't do anything about it. Members of the line often argued their point, but they were just no match for the over exaggerating black teenagers who lied about already being in the line.

Another hour passes and it's 2:00 p.m. She starts to text Kristen Que / Christel Sison back and forth because, apparently, they were in the line as well. Unfortunately for them, we were way ahead of them. After a couple of texts, Cathleen's cell phone dies of battery and we were stranded in the line. The line continued to accumulate more and more people - black people - and it starts to get cramped. I just wanted to punch someone in the face at this point.

After pushing and shoving our way to the front, we finally get seated at 4:02 p.m. The wait was definitely much longer than I expected, but I think it was worth it. I had fried rice, spicy chicken, crispy chicken, garlic bread, pizza, apple pie, vanilla ice cream, red / orange jello, etc. That's all I can think of at this point, but yeah. It was definitely worth it. What else was there to do at home anyway? There was surprisingly nothing much to blog about.

On our way out, look who it is. The mint girl from last time. I remember her, I thought she was pretty hot. Not gonna lie though, she was looking at me. I didn't say anything to her though... maybe next time. Probably not though. Oh well. I have my girlfriend already, she's kind of cute - just kind of.
So, on Sunday she played from about 8 p.m. - 3 a.m. and yesterday she played from 1:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. That's actually quite impressive. 17.5 hours in 2 days. Since i could play an average of 30+ hours in 2 days playing WoW, that's over 1/2 of what i'd play. So, she got off at about 12:00 a.m. last night and she went on to "her second love" Neopets for about 15 minutes. Our (Me, Nikki and ashlee) neopet owns face, pretty much. The stats of the pet are a bit low, but we have 2.6 million (NP) neopoints in the bank plus the 400,000+ NP spent on the neopet home. Oh wait, I'm going off topic, this is supposed to solely be based on my girlfriend's gaming.

Today's July 2 and she's back at it. On a side note, our Neopet account got banned a couple of months ago. You may or may not remember Part 1 of this, but here's the link. For the past week or so, my girlfriend, Nikki, has been playing Harvest Moon again, almost non-stop - if she's awake that is. She usually wakes up at around 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. so at that point I've already been awake for around 4 - 6 hours just tech blogging. There's really nothing to do, but I'd choose this life over the school life.

Anyways, let's get back to the main point, my girlfriend playing Harvest Moon again. So, while finishing up the last season of Dexter today, she played. She's been playing for the past 8 hours straight. She's working out now, but she should go back to playing again when she gets back. We're usually up until around 4 or so. I play Hot Shots Golf Fore / read Angels & Demons, while she plays. It's good because we get to stay up with each other on Skype, something that I love to do.

It'll be our 1 year anniversary in a week and I don't know what to do. Is that bad? Probably. I'll think of something though. I know I don't want anything expensive though - I'm thinking skipping rope - and hopefully she doesn't because, at this point, we both don't have a job. Man, I'm really starting to get pissed off how none of us aren't getting called. She should get called next week though, I'll keep my fingers crossed. Although me - no hope.

Yeah, so we're both "hardcore" gaming again. I know when my true potential will come out - hello Starcraft 2. Oh yeah, I should probably mention that I'm playing Starcraft 1 again. If you want to know my account name, message me.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00869126906398003316noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3950614953495274886.post-44261419364989809352009-07-01T03:15:00.000-04:002009-07-01T03:15:34.507-04:00Transformers 2 / Mandarin

No, I won't be reviewing Transformers 2. That's up to my other friend, Aaron (here). I just have some thoughts about the movie. Okay well, first off, I thought the movie was too long. My butt was hurting for the last half hour or so. Another thing is - wow, Megan Fox was damn hot. Hmm, what else? You know what? There was too much action - I think. Half of the time I didn't even know what was going on, but maybe that's just me. The movie did show what producers are supposed to do though. Clearly, the movie is meant to stray away from the hardcore fans, in order to make a ton of money. The producer's job is to make something that will appeal to the majority of the audience for the money - they're not meant to satisfy just the nerdy little hardcore bunch, which sucks most of the time (for the hardcore fans, I mean). Was that confusing? Oh well.

I watched Transformers 2 today with my girlfriend and it was a pretty good day, besides the fact that it just wouldn't stop raining. Went back to her place and watched a bit of National Treasure, but that's basically it. Oh yeah, we can finally finish watching Dexter again, since I transferred the rest of Season 3 onto her laptop. I can't wait.

I hope that I can wake up at 8 in the morning tomorrow, since there's going to be a free Mandarin event tomorrow. It's the Mandarin manager's 30th year being a Canadian citizen - or something like that - so there's free Mandarin on Canada Day, which is today. I hope the line-up isn't too long.
I wanted to talk about this last Saturday, but I completely forgot. It was one of the most memorable Fridays in a while.

I got to my girlfriend's place and we just chilled there for a bit. Watched a bit of Dexter - emphasis on a bit. Then we finally decided to leave the house. "We" meaning me, my girlfriend, and her brother. We walked to the bus stop and I was actually scared we were going to miss it. So, yeah, we took the bus to Square One, took another bus from there to the subway. Then we took 2 subways to get to Eaton Centre. We just walked around for a bit, but we were unaware that it was Gay Pride weekend - or something like that.

We went everywhere. My girlfriend was really amazed at this girl dressed as an angel outside because she though it was a statue. She was even more impressed by a guy painted in bronze because he was the closest thing to a statue I've seen since I saw the silver man in San Francisco a couple of years back. Another guy that was fairly interesting was a guy outside drawing on the sidewalk - it was a tribute to Michael Jackson. It was pretty cool. And, weirdest thing ever was some crazy hobo eating ice cream walking up to us 3. He ended up saying something with his ice-creamed-out beard / mustache, but I forget what it was now.

Anyways, after eating and being amazed at the phones that Rogers Plus had - the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic - we decided to go to my Uncle Jason's place. After eating some burgers and just chilling and talking outside, we decided to go back in to my uncle's condo. My Uncle Phil showed off some pictures from my early, early childhood to my girlfriend, kind of funny stuff. We watched Push, it was a pretty good movie. Shortly after, we watched the intro to Kung Fu Panda. We went home afterwards.

It may seem boring as I write it, but I'm glad that we went there. I got to chill with just about the 4 most important people in my life. I loved that day, I wish I could relive it again. Good to see that my girlfriend and her brother accepted my uncles. Bottom line, it was a really damn good day.

Today, I'm off to see Transformers 2 with my girlfriend. I'm leaving at around 1:30 - if you care.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00869126906398003316noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3950614953495274886.post-5653957503599907412009-06-26T10:24:00.000-04:002009-06-27T01:03:26.775-04:00Could I Really Be?After a rough night, today I'm off to a journey with my girlfriend and her brother. I have no clue where we're going to go, but it's going to be a journey, which could possibly mean downtown. I don't know for sure, and we'll just have to see how it goes.

I'm currently reading Angels & Demons and it's probably the best book I've ever read in my life - seeing how I've only read two other books in my life. It's really interesting and is so scientific, I wish I took Biology in High School, but it's too late now.

Oh yeah, I've been thinking about it for a couple of days now. It's funny how students have to pick what to do for the next 45 years of their life at the age of 17 /18. How are we really supposed to know what we want to be? Oh well.

Although, Michael Jackson never had much impact on my life for the past 10 years, he definitely played a part of my childhood. R.I.P. Michael Jackson.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00869126906398003316noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3950614953495274886.post-21883293723198930202009-06-20T04:00:00.000-04:002009-06-20T04:00:20.646-04:00It's Officially Summertime!

It's 3:46 a.m. I have just finished writing all of my exams and I'm damn proud that I'm finally finished. Let me sum up the past couple of weeks for all of you - all 2 of you out there. So, I've been writing on my tech blog less because of exams lately. I had my first job interview on Thursday with Future Shop, I really hope they give me a call next week. I got my first [real] mail from Google, due to the whole AdSense thing going on over there on my tech blog. And I finished my last exam yesterday. It's officially Summer.

I can finally update this everyday, but I doubt I'll do that since I rarely have anything to talk about. I rarely ever "think." Oh yeah, I should probably mention that I just finished watching the first 3 seasons of "Dexter." It's officially the best show on TV I have ever seen. Yes, it beats "The Office." "The Office" is definitely second though.

Yeah, "Dexter" is just amazing. The blood, suspense, and another English word that I can't think of on the top of my head. Basically, it's when the audience knows something the characters don't know. This, in turn, leads to more suspense and hilarity ensues.

I don't really know what else to talk about. But, I do know that the main reason I wrote on this blog today was to tell you all that I finally get to clean my room! I plan to keep it clean - at least for the Summer. I'm going to start cleaning tomorrow, but I'll probably finish on Sunday because I have a ton to do.

On a side note, Friday night was amazing. One of the best nights I've had in my life. Anyways, I'm bored, so good night world. For those viewers in Singapore... good afternoon.
Since I have 999 posts on my Tech blog and it takes me an average of 15 minutes to do one post. This means that I have spent over 10 days of my life blogging about technology, "because I'm a huge loser", according to Sarah.

I haven't blogged on here for a while, so I figured I might as well post something. I'm quite bored during my lunch period, even though Sarah's here. But, she bores me even more - just kidding. She told me that she's not going to be here tomorrow because she has a dentist appointment, but I don't really care, since I'm going to blog about some new technology and I don't even talk to her anyway. I don't even know her middle name. Right now, she is questioning why and how I can type without looking and I told her that it's easy mode. Her middle name starts with an 'M.' Hmm, let me think. I almost got it right on my first try, I guessed Maria. Her middle name is actually Marie. Anyways, she's telling me a story, so I guess I'll stop blogging for now.

My next post could be this weekend, but it could also be at the end of June, so oh well. Exams soon.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00869126906398003316noreply@blogger.com0
